Following the recent attack on innocent Americans, an 82-year-old woman died at the hands of an illegal Egyptian alien who now faces first-degree murder charges after his firebombing attack on pro-Israel supporters.

Mohamed Soliman, who had been living in the U.S. illegally, deliberately targeted American and Israeli flag-carrying citizens at a “Run For Their Lives” rally in Boulder, Colorado.

The Boulder firebombing attack that occurred on June 1 has escalated to a murder case after the victim, Karen Diamond, died from her injuries on June 25.

Soliman, a 46-year-old illegal alien from Egypt, now faces first-degree murder charges with extreme indifference and with intent after deliberation.

Unable to purchase firearms due to his immigration status, Soliman allegedly resorted to creating homemade firebombs to carry out his deadly attack against Americans supporting Israel.

District Attorney Michael Dougherty has amended the charges from attempted murder to first-degree murder and added 66 additional counts related to 14 more victims identified during the investigation.

In total, prosecutors say 29 victims were affected by the attack, with 13 suffering physical injuries.

The attack targeted participants in an event raising awareness for Israeli hostages held by Hamas terrorists, showing the suspect’s clear political motivation.

According to investigators, the criminal disguised himself as a gardener to approach the group at Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall.

He was equipped with a backpack weed sprayer and a container with 18 glass bottles filled with flammable liquid, which he used to carry out his attack.

Court documents revealed that Soliman traveled specifically from Colorado Springs to Boulder with the premeditated intent to kill participants in the pro-Israel event, targeting them based on their support for Israel and their perceived national origin.

The federal government has also brought 12 hate crime charges against Soliman, though he has pleaded not guilty to these counts.

The FBI and Boulder Police are jointly investigating the case, with prosecution being handled by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado and the Civil Rights Division’s Criminal Section.

The case highlights the growing anti-Israel and antisemitic violence that has erupted across America since Hamas terrorists attacked Israel on October 7, 2023.

The Jewish community in Boulder has been deeply affected by Diamond’s death.

The Jewish Community Center issued a statement remembering her as “a cherished member of our community, someone whose warmth and generosity left a lasting impact on all who knew her.”

Similarly, the “Run For Their Lives” organization expressed their heartbreak over the loss, stating they are “deeply saddened to share the news of the death of Karen Diamond due to injuries sustained at the June 1 terror attack.”

Soliman’s next court appearance for state charges is scheduled for July 15.

While he is facing the full weight of justice, the case raises serious questions about immigration enforcement and the dangers posed by individuals who enter and remain in the country illegally.
