After the GOP congressman criticized military action against Iran’s nuclear program, President Trump Donald officially declared war on a “fake MAGA” representative.
The president has vowed to campaign for a primary challenger against Thomas Massie (R-KY).
President Trump called the lawmaker a “pathetic LOSER” who should be dropped by the MAGA movement for undermining America’s security and siding with a regime that chants “Death to America.”
By unleashing the blistering attack, the president has clearly declared Massie persona non grata within the MAGA movement.
The confrontation erupted after the congressman criticized America’s recent military strikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities.
President Trump made his position crystal clear on his Truth Social platform, saying the congressman has no place in the America First movement.
The president wrote:
“Congressman Thomas Massie of Kentucky is not MAGA, even though he likes to say he is. Actually, MAGA doesn’t want him, doesn’t know him, and doesn’t respect him. He is a negative force who almost always Votes’ NO,’ no matter how good something may be. He’s a simple minded ‘grandstander’ who thinks it’s good politics for Iran to have the highest level Nuclear weapon, while at the same time yelling ‘DEATH TO AMERICA’ at every chance they get.”
The public spat began when Massie appeared on CBS to denounce the U.S. military strikes against Iran as “not Constitutional” and suggested President Trump was being manipulated by neoconservatives.
Massie fanned the flames of his betrayal by co-introducing a War Powers Resolution with far-left Democrat Ro Khanna.
The bill would limit President Trump’s ability to defend America’s interests against the Iranian regime.
President Trump did not just criticize Massie: he promised action. The president vowed to personally campaign for a primary challenger against the Kentucky congressman in 2026.
This move comes as the president continues his efforts to reshape the Republican Party into a unified force that puts America First, strongly supports the military, and stands firmly against America’s enemies.
He continued:
“MAGA should drop this pathetic LOSER, Tom Massie, like the plague! The good news is that we will have a wonderful American Patriot running against him in the Republican Primary, and I’ll be out in Kentucky campaigning really hard. MAGA is not about lazy, grandstanding, nonproductive politicians, of which Thomas Massie is definitely one.”
“Massie is weak, ineffective, and votes’ NO’ on virtually everything put before him (Rand Paul, Jr.), no matter how good something may be,” President Trump stated.
The president also criticized Massie’s lack of respect for America’s military, a particularly sensitive point given the recent successful operations against Iran’s nuclear program.
Despite this public rebuke of Massie, President Trump has maintained that the Republican Party overall enjoys “great unity.”
As of now, neither Massie nor Senator Rand Paul has responded to requests for comment about the president’s statements.
