Being another victim of senseless violence in a country where neighborly disagreements can turn deadly in an instant, iconic voice actor Jonathan Joss was shot dead by his own neighbor.

See the tweet below.

Joss, the 59-year-old actor who voiced the iconic character John Redcorn in the animated series “King of the Hill,” was fatally shot over the weekend, following an argument with his neighbor in San Antonio, Texas.

The shooting occurred just after 7:00 p.m. in the 200 block of Dorsey Drive on the city’s South Side.

Police arrived to find Joss near the roadway, and despite officers’ attempts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical services.

The suspect, 56-year-old Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, has been detained and charged with murder.

According to police reports, the shooting happened after an argument between the two neighbors escalated dramatically.

Authorities apprehended Ceja shortly after the incident, and the San Antonio Police Department continues its investigation into the circumstances surrounding this senseless killing that has shocked the entertainment world.

Joss has recently been excitedly promoting the upcoming revival of King of the Hill, which is scheduled to premiere on Hulu in August.

In a cruel twist of fate, just hours before his death, he posted a video on Instagram discussing the reboot, telling fans the project was “up and moving.”

The Native American actor had taken over the role of John Redcorn in season 3 after the original actor, Victor Arron, died in 1996.

“Once the officers arrived at the location, the victim was found near the roadway of the location. The officers attempted life-saving measures until EMS arrived. EMS pronounced the victim deceased,” the San Antonio Police Department said.

This tragedy follows another devastating blow to Joss earlier this year. In January, he lost his childhood home and three beloved dogs in a catastrophic fire.

The home held special significance as it was built by his father for his mother in 1957 and was filled with irreplaceable family memories.

Beyond his signature role in “King of the Hill,” Joss was recognized for his portrayal of Chief Ken Hotate in the hit comedy series “Parks and Recreation.”

His talents extended to other productions including “Tulsa King,” “Ray Donovan,” and films such as “True Grit” and “The Magnificent Seven.”

Moreover, his contributions to representing Native American characters in mainstream media made him a standout voice in Hollywood.

The shocking murder of Joss underscores the growing concern about neighbor disputes turning deadly in communities across America.

While details of the argument that led to the shooting remain under investigation, this case represents yet another example of how easily conflicts can escalate when firearms are involved.

The tragedy has resonated deeply with fans and the entertainment industry alike, who are mourning the loss of a talented actor whose voice brought joy to millions.
