CNN Fires Top Reporter

Liberal lamestream media CNN has finally fired its chief national security correspondent after a devastating $5 million defamation lawsuit exposed the network’s hit job against a patriotic Navy veteran.

The dismissal comes months after internal messages revealed Alex Marquardt’s true intentions when he vowed to “nail this Zachary Young mf—er” in his biased reporting about Afghanistan evacuation efforts.

The liberal network announced Marquardt’s departure following what insiders described as a “post-settlement ethics compliance review.”

CNN initially tried to downplay the connection between his exit and the defamation case, but network sources confirmed what conservatives have long suspected about the mainstream media’s tactics.

“Obviously, the court case is a core reason why, that is obvious,” one CNN insider admitted, revealing the true reason behind the correspondent’s sudden departure.

U.S. Navy veteran Zachary Young became the latest American patriot to successfully fight back against CNN’s distorted reporting when a Florida jury ruled in his favor earlier this year.

The defamation case stemmed from a November 2021 report on Jake Tapper’s program “The Lead,” where Marquardt falsely accused Young of price gouging desperate Afghans during the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.

The jury was particularly troubled by evidence showing that CNN deliberately ignored information that contradicted its predetermined narrative.

The lawsuit revealed damning behind-the-scenes communications that exposed Marquardt’s unprofessional conduct and clear bias.

His profanity-laced message stating “We gonna nail this Zachary Young mf—er” proved critical in demonstrating the actual malice required for the defamation finding.

Despite this smoking gun evidence, CNN initially stood by their reporter, allowing him to continue appearing on air for months following the damaging verdict.

After the jury’s initial $5 million award to Young, CNN rushed to reach an undisclosed settlement before punitive damages could be calculated – a move that likely saved the network from an even more embarrassing financial penalty.

The network was forced to issue an on-air apology in March 2022, though reports indicate some staff complained about having to admit their wrongdoing.

This reluctance to accept responsibility reflects the ongoing problem with liberal media outlets that prioritize narrative over truth.

While the network tried to minimize the fallout from the case, the evidence presented during the trial clearly showed journalistic malpractice.

President Trump, who has long criticized CNN’s biased coverage, pointed to this case as yet another example of the “fake news” problem plaguing American media.

The network’s handling of the situation demonstrates why trust in mainstream media continues to plummet among patriotic Americans who demand honest reporting.

Even as Marquardt was finally shown the door, CNN continued to defend his reporting, stating: “We remain proud of our journalists and are 100% committed to strong, fearless and fair-minded reporting at CNN.”

This defiant stance comes despite clear evidence of malice presented in court. Marquardt himself showed no remorse, writing in a farewell message that it had been “an honor to work among the very best in the business.”

This was apparently referring to a news organization that just lost millions for publishing false information about an American veteran.

The entire fiasco highlights the double standard that exists in media accountability.

While conservative outlets are constantly scrutinized and attacked, liberal networks like CNN can smear patriotic Americans, lose millions in court, and still pretend to occupy the moral high ground.

The fact that it took CNN over five months after the jury verdict to finally part ways with Marquardt speaks volumes about their true commitment to journalistic integrity and fair reporting.
