The footage shows a man driving a tow truck with his pickup still attached and speeding down a street in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, hitting several parked cars along the way.
The confrontation began beside the tow truck with two men exchanging blows, as caught by News 12 Brooklyn.
Amid the chaos, one of the men could be heard demanding, “Put my f***ing truck down!”
As the tow truck tore through the streets, the sounds of screeching brakes and the clattering of the towed pickup truck sideswiping parked vehicles filled the air, mixed with shouts and curses from onlookers.
The dispute reportedly started when a man blocked the service doors of a local business with his pickup truck, which prompted the altercation with the tow truck driver.
In a dramatic turn of events, the man is said to have jumped into the tow truck and driven away with his own truck still attached.
He rammed into parked cars before colliding head-on with a city bus. He then fled the scene on foot.
Later in the day, vehicle owners arrived to find their cars damaged. One owner mentioned he would have to repair his car quickly, as he had to pick up his daughter from school.
Another bystander commented on the gravity of the driver’s actions, saying, “Yeah, he really messed up, I mean, what, he’s going to be in a little trouble.”
The man responsible for the havoc is still at large, and authorities are actively investigating the incident.
