(StraightShooterNews.com) – It seems policies are not the only thing Kamala Harris is flip-flopping, as she has been caught red-handed adopting a “fake accent” during a speech to teachers’ union members in Michigan.
Watch the video below.
Speaking at a high school in Detroit, Harris changed her vocal tone especially when she got more animated or interacted with her audience.
In one of her speeches, she emphasized the contributions of unions with notable fervor, saying, “You may not be a union member, but you better thank a union member for the five-day workweek.”
“You better thank a union member for sick leave. You better thank a union member for paid leave. You better thank a union member for vacation time,” she stated.
This segment was widely circulated on social media platforms like X.
Later that day in Pittsburgh, she delivered a similar message to a group of union workers, but her accent from earlier was missing.
The Trump campaign was quick to highlight the difference by posting clips of both events on X with a comment, “Let’s see if you can spot the difference…”
Another moment that caught attention online was when Harris, after being interrupted by someone in the crowd, said, “Let’s just get through the next 64 days. How about that?” and then gave a fist-bump.
Comedian and podcast host Chad Prather did not hold back, blasting this as “SO CRINGE!” on X and accusing Harris of using a “FAKE accent…this time in Detroit, Michigan!” He declared, “NO ONE IS BUYING IT!”
Republican strategist Matt Whitlock also chimed in to criticize Harris’ demeanor as performative and compared her accent shifts to her changing political stances.
“She changes fake accents like she changes policy positions and political personas,” he remarked on X.
“Today she’s talking in a fake southern accent, pretending to be a moderate. Next week she’ll be back to San Francisco liberal,” he added.
Comedian Terrence K. Williams accused Harris of “pretending to be a black southern woman” by “using a fake accent,” claiming she was “mocking southern folks and pandering for votes.”
This is not the first time Harris has been slammed for altering her accent to connect with specific audiences.
In July, she used a Southern drawl at an Atlanta rally and she was mocked in 2021 for seemingly adopting a French accent during a Paris visit.
