These Obama-era holdovers jeopardized the lives of brave ICE agents and helped violent criminal illegal aliens evade capture.
The traitors could face up to 10 years in federal prison as the Trump administration takes decisive action against those undermining border security.
Secretary Noem delivered the news in a video statement that quickly went viral, emphasizing the administration’s zero-tolerance policy for betrayal within its ranks.
“We have identified two leakers of information here at the Department of Homeland Security who have been telling individuals about our operations and putting law enforcement lives in jeopardy,” Secretary Noem said.
“We plan to prosecute these two individuals and hold them accountable for what they’ve done,” she added.
The individuals, whose identities have not been disclosed, allegedly leaked classified information about planned ICE raids in Los Angeles and Aurora, Colorado.
This sabotage directly enabled members of the notorious Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua to escape arrest, putting both law enforcement officers and American citizens at risk.
DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin confirmed the severity of the situation, stating:
“We are preparing to refer these perpetrators to the DOJ for felony prosecutions. These individuals face up to 10 years in federal prison. We will find and root out all leakers. They will face prison time, and we will get justice for the American people.”
The leaks represent a dangerous pattern of resistance within the federal bureaucracy that President Trump has vowed to dismantle during his second term.
The operation in Aurora was meant to apprehend over 100 dangerous illegal aliens, but because of these treasonous leaks, only five were detained.
This sabotage has contributed to the frustrating pace of deportations since President Trump took office, as deep state operatives continue to undermine his America First agenda.
Border Czar Tom Homan, who has been instrumental in implementing President Trump’s immigration policies, suggested that some leaks may have originated from within the FBI.
“Some of the information we are receiving tends to lead toward the FBI,” Homan said, echoing Noem’s criticism of the bureau, which she described as “corrupt.”
To revitalize ICE’s mission, Noem announced two new leadership appointments: Todd Lyons as acting ICE director and Madison Sheahan as deputy director.
These appointments follow the reassignment of previous ICE officials who failed to meet the administration’s expectations for immigration enforcement.
Attorney General Pam Bondi has vowed to cooperate fully with DHS in prosecuting the leakers.
“…and if you leaked it, we will find out who you are, and we will come after you. It’s not going to stop our mission. It’s not going to stop the president’s mission to make America safe again,” Bondi declared.
As the administration continues its crackdown on illegal immigration, DHS has announced plans to implement polygraph testing for personnel, demonstrating its commitment to weeding out those who would undermine national security.
The prosecution of these leakers sends a powerful message that the Trump administration will not tolerate betrayal from within as it works to secure America’s borders and protect its citizens from the threats posed by unchecked illegal immigration.
