VIDEO: Christian Nationalism Needed – GOP Senator

( – After four years of liberal decadence under the Biden administration, Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) delivered a speech emphasizing that America’s recovery must start with a focus on religious values.

Watch the video below.

At the National Conservatism Conference in Washington, D.C., he spoke passionately about the erosion of Western Christian traditions and how he believes the economy has been reshaped to serve a global elite rather than ordinary citizens.

Hawley used the historical backdrop of Rome in 410 A.D. to illustrate a crucial shift from a pagan to a Christian worldview, which he argued was essential for the rise of Western civilization.

According to Hawley, Christian virtues introduced by figures like Augustine of Hippo replaced the old Roman values of glory and self-sacrifice with more sustainable principles of humility and service.

“Augustine knew that just the opposite was true,” Hawley said. “The Christian religion was the only vital force left in Rome at the time of its collapse and now Augustine imagined that religion rising from the ruins of the ancient world to forge a new and better civilization.”

Hawley portrayed these values as key to creating a new form of nationalism based on shared purposes and common love.

He claimed this “Christian nationalism” was central to American democracy and its moral framework for centuries.

In contemporary times, Hawley criticized his own party for overly focusing on free markets and tax cuts without adequately addressing the needs of working Americans and their families.

He spoke of a disconnect between political actions and the needs of ordinary people, suggesting that the pursuit of profit had overshadowed more essential values.

“The free market is valuable exactly to the degree that it sustains the things we love together; otherwise, it’s just called profit. And somewhere along the line Republicans just found the love of profit at any price,” Hawley declared.

He also accused Democrats of replacing traditional American religious values with their cultural symbols, like the Pride flag, while alleging that Republicans had failed to effectively counter this shift.

Hawley’s call to action was clear as he advocated for a return to religious foundations in public life.

To conclude, he suggested removing trans flags from federal buildings and replacing them with inscriptions of the national motto, “In God We Trust.”
