(StraightShooterNews.com) – Angered and disheartened by Joe Biden’s dismissive comment, the wife of an FDNY chief killed on September 11, 2001, blasted the lame-duck Democrat for making a “flippant” remark about the sacred anniversary.

At the 9/11 memorial ceremony, widow Joanne Barbara slammed Biden’s response to a reporter who asked what the Democrat would be doing.
“The elected officials here today show their respect and reverence to the families on Sept. 11, or – in our president’s words – ’do 9/11,’ quite a flippant remark,” Joanne said.
Joanne seemingly referred to Biden’s Tuesday comment, when he told reporters he was “doing 9/11” as he arrived in New York City.
Her criticism came as she stood at the microphone while Biden and other high-profile attendees like Kamala Harris, GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump and his running mate JD Vance were in the audience.
At the ceremony, Harris and Trump, who had debated each other fiercely on Tuesday night, were seen shaking hands once again.
Joanne used her speech to emphasize the daily grief of the 9/11 families, reminding those present that the pain of losing nearly 3,000 loved ones lingers every day.
She also blasted the recent plea deal offered to Khalid Sheikh Mohammed—the mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks—and two other accused terrorists.
The deal, which would have spared them the death penalty, was later retracted by Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin after significant backlash, particularly from 9/11 families.
She stressed the importance of justice and accountability for the victims’ families, which was met with applause and cheers from the crowd gathered to remember and honor those lost.
Joanne’s speech was part of a larger tribute by many who lost family members in the attacks, all sharing their ongoing sorrow and calls for remembrance.
