(StraightShooterNews.com) – Unmasking the reality of the Biden-Harris administration’s open-border plan, the Democrat pair bypassed Congress by creating pathways for migrants to enter the U.S.
Designed to provide a legal avenue for asylum seekers, the CBP One app has allowed a staggering 1.3 million people to arrive in the U.S. with no vetting.
For instance, Venezuelan migrant Luis Miguel Calzadilla-Rojas entered the U.S. through the CBP One app five months before he was arrested in Aurora, Colorado, after a shooting outside a probation office.
Calzadilla-Rojas is suspected of being part of the dangerous Venezuelan prison gang known as Tren de Aragua.
Highlighting concerns about the lax nature of the program, Homeland Security sources revealed that it lacks thorough vetting.
This is especially true for individuals from countries that do not cooperate with U.S. law enforcement, such as Venezuela, Haiti and Cuba.
As a result, individuals with potentially dangerous backgrounds like Calzadilla-Rojas have slipped through.
A source stated, “It doesn’t surprise me that gang members get in so easily and frequently.”
Indeed, Calzadilla-Rojas is not the only concerning case: other suspected criminals, including ISIS members and fellow Tren de Aragua gang affiliates, reportedly used the same app to enter the U.S.
Although it was intended to reduce illegal crossings by providing legal entry points, the CBP One app and related policies have caused a surge in both legal and illegal entries, totaling over 2 million people in a little over a year.
The Biden-Harris administration claims that these programs have cut down illegal crossings to their lowest since Biden took office.
“CBP continues to enforce the Securing the Border interim final rule and deliver strong consequences for illegal entry, and encounters between ports of entry remain at their lowest level in years,” stated Customs and Border Protection acting chief Troy Miller.
However, critics remain skeptical. They claim that the programs simply mask the real issues and provide legal cover for individuals who otherwise would not qualify for entry.
GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump and other Republicans have voiced strong opposition.
Trump has vowed to “terminate the Kamala phone app for smuggling illegals (CBP One App).”
