(StraightShooterNews.com) – President Trump dropped a bombshell as he announced the release today of 80,000 classified pages related to President John F. Kennedy’s assassination.

See the tweet below.

The historic release has many historians and conspiracy theorists buzzing with anticipation as decades of government secrecy surrounding Kennedy’s murder will finally end.

The President made the bombshell announcement that approximately 80,000 pages of previously unreleased and unredacted documents related to JFK’s assassination would be made available to the American public starting today.

This fulfills a campaign promise Trump made during his successful 2024 election bid and represents a watershed moment for government transparency.

The documents have been kept from public view for over six decades, fueling countless theories about what really happened in Dallas on that fateful day in November 1963.

Unlike previous administrations that continued to withhold critical information, Trump instructed Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard to oversee the complete release of the remaining files.

The FBI discovered roughly 2,400 previously unknown records during a search prompted by Trump’s executive action.

These documents had never been properly identified as related to the Kennedy assassination until now and have been transferred to the National Archives for declassification and public release.

This decisive action stands in stark contrast to former President Biden’s approach. Biden repeatedly extended the review period for these records in 2021, 2022, and 2023, keeping Americans in the dark about this pivotal moment in our nation’s history.

Yet, Trump signed an executive order in his very first week back in office demanding the declassification of files related not only to JFK’s assassination but also to the assassinations of Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr., demonstrating his commitment to historical truth.

The Kennedy assassination has been surrounded by controversy and conspiracy theories since the moment it occurred on November 22, 1963.

While the official Warren Commission concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in killing the president, many Americans remain skeptical of this finding.

Previous document releases have revealed FBI and CIA investigations into Oswald and various Cold War operations, but crucial information has remained classified until now.

The government’s reluctance to release all documents has only fueled suspicion that powerful interests may have been involved in the assassination.

The President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992 mandated the collection and public release of all assassination-related material, requiring full disclosure by October 26, 2017.

While Trump released nearly 2,900 records during his first term, he reluctantly withheld others due to national security concerns raised by intelligence agencies.

Now back in office with a mandate from the American people, Trump has chosen full transparency over continued secrecy.

“I said during the campaign that I’d do it, and I’m a man of my word,” the president said of the impending release.

Even though commenting on the release, Trump suggested the documents would be “very interesting” and encouraged Americans to review them and form their own conclusions.

The documents will be available for public examination through the National Archives, which has already released more than 97% of JFK assassination-related material over the past three decades.
