(StraightShooterNews.com) – Beloved conservative actor James Woods described the harrowing scene of escaping the devastating Los Angeles wildfires where he lost everything.
The 77-year-old actor found himself in the midst of a nightmare as the wildfires ravaged Southern California, destroying his home in Pacific Palisades.
The star, known for his outspoken conservative views, did not hesitate to criticize the state’s Democrat leaders for their poor handling of the disaster.
“This fire is not from ‘climate change,’ you ignorant a–hole. It’s because liberal idiots like you elect liberal idiots like Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass,” Woods stated, targeting California’s leadership.
“One doesn’t understand the first thing about fire management and the other can’t fill the water reservoirs,” he added.
The wildfires have led to the evacuation of around 70,000 residents and threatened 28,000 structures.

Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency, but for many, including Woods, it was too little, too late.
The actor’s criticism extended to LAFD Fire Chief Kristin Crowley, accusing her of prioritizing diversity over essential fire management tasks.
“I couldn’t believe our lovely little home in the hills held on this long, It feels like losing a loved one,” he continued.
Woods and his wife had recently returned to their renovated home after living in a hotel during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Moreover, the actor recounted the harrowing experience of evacuating with only the clothes on their backs, expressing concern for a 94-year-old neighbor with dementia who was later found safe and taken to the hospital.
Amidst the devastation, Woods shared a heartwarming story about his wife’s niece offering her piggy bank to help rebuild their home.
The wildfires have affected Woods, other celebrities, and thousands of ordinary citizens. Over 100 schools were closed, and power was cut to over 180,000 people, with potential shutoffs for over 500,000 due to fire risks.
The Los Angeles Fire Department called for off-duty firefighters to assist, as windy conditions hindered firefighting aircraft.
In interviews and social media, Woods openly shared footage of the fires, capturing the reality of the threat that crept through Southern California.
His transparency and vulnerability won him admiration and sympathy from many, including CNN’s Pamela Brown, who praised his strength and focus on community support during these harrowing times.
The ordeal of James Woods stands as a testament to the indomitable human spirit in the face of disaster.
As communities rally together to support one another, his story of resilience continues to inspire others.
