Hillary Attacks Trump

(StraightShooterNews.com) – Resorting to desperate claims to distort reality, Hillary Clinton recently attacked former President Donald Trump by framing his efforts to make America great again as a threat to democracy.

Speaking on the Defending Democracy podcast, Clinton said Trump’s messaging and actions resemble a dictatorship.

Clinton criticized Trump for what she views as his authoritarian tendencies, noting, “And the kind of threats that you hear coming out of Donald Trump should scare every American.”

She then compared Trump to 81-year-old Joe Biden, whom she says is a model of “responsible leadership” by “not engaging in vitriolic attacks on people, in rallies and online, not threatening to execute people and putting them in jail.”

During her podcast appearance, Clinton chose not to discuss instances where Biden has been criticized for being divisive himself, such as his harsh attacks toward “MAGA Americans” and unvaccinated individuals.

Instead, she focused on the on her claims that Trump is an “authoritarian” and said, “Because with an authoritarian … you never know if somebody basically bribes them by giving business to a relative or some other gift, that they will try to destroy one business to advantage another.”

“If he ever gets back near the White House again, it will be like having a dictator, and I don’t say that lightly,” Clinton stated and added she wars concerned over Trump’s alleged disregard for legal and institutional boundaries.

In response, Donald Trump Jr. defended his father’s presidency by arguing that Trump’s experience allows him to better identify and handle the so-called “swamp” of Washington D.C. politics.

Trump Jr. suggested that his father’s return to office would be informed by a deep understanding of the political landscape and the challenges posed by both Democrats and establishment Republicans.

Despite these controversial statements, Trump himself has joked about the accusations of authoritarianism, telling Sean Hannity, “He says, you’re not going to be a dictator, are you? I said, no, no, no, other than day one. We’re closing the border and we’re drilling, drilling, drilling. After that, I’m not a dictator.”
