Haley Needs Protection?

(StraightShooterNews.com) – Still holding onto the hope that she will snatch the Republican presidential nomination, former U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley has requested Secret Service protection because she has been getting more threats lately.

On two previous occasions Haley has been “swatted,” which is a tactic where someone calls in and reports false emergencies at the victim’s home. Additionally, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) observed that more protesters have been showing up at her events.

These demonstrators are unhappy with her for requesting more help for Ukraine and Israel. At one event last week a woman even tried to run onto the stage but was stopped by Haley’s security team.

“When you do something like this, you get threats. It’s just the reality,” Haley said to journalists last week. Despite the dangers Haley has not slowed down her campaign and even increased her security.

“We’ve had multiple issues. But it’s not going to hold me back from doing what I’ve set out to do,” Haley shared with WSJ after a campaign stop in South Carolina.

“At the end of the day, we’re going to go out there and touch every hand, we’re going to answer every question, we’re going to make sure that we are there and doing everything that we need to,” Haley explained to the WSJ.

Haley’s move to get Secret Service protection happens as political violence and threats against politicians are on the rise. The Department of Homeland Security will decide if she gets the protection after talking it over with Congress.

This news breaks as the Nevada caucuses are about to happen. Due to a disagreement between the state and the GOP Haley will be on the primary ballot but no delegates will be chosen with that vote. Former President Trump also plans to join the caucuses as he is Haley’s sole contender and the frontrunner in the race for the GOP nomination.
