GUILTY: Biden Informant Facing Prison

Wooden gavel and handcuffs on a table.

(StraightShooterNews.com) – Shaking the core of ongoing investigations against the Biden family, once seemed untouchable FBI informant Alexander Smirnov is facing prison after he confessed to fabricating false allegations about the Bidens.

Smirnov has pleaded guilty to lying about a $10 million bribery scheme involving the Biden family.

This development raises questions about the integrity of the FBI’s sources and the credibility of accusations against the Bidens.

Despite Smirnov’s admission, concerns persist about the Biden family’s international business dealings and potential conflicts of interest.

Smirnov, who had been a trusted FBI informant for nearly a decade, created a false record as part of a federal probe into the Bidens.

This included a bribery allegation documented in an FBI FD-1023 form, which became a focal point in the House GOP’s investigation into the Biden family’s alleged overseas influence peddling.

The informant claimed that Joe and Hunter Biden each received $5 million from Burisma Holdings owner Mykola Zlochevsky to help oust Ukrainian Prosecutor-General Viktor Shokin.

However, prosecutors have since determined that Smirnov’s contact with Burisma executives was routine and occurred in 2017, not in 2015 or 2016 as he had initially stated.

While Smirnov’s claims have been discredited, it is important to note that Hunter and his business partner Devon Archer received $6.4 million from Burisma between 2014 and 2019.

“This was a false and fictitious record,” according to a court document, Smirnov admitted.

His fabricated story suggested that Hunter was brought onto Burisma’s board to “protect us, through his dad, from all kinds of problems.”

As part of his plea deal with Department of Justice (DOJ) special counsel David Weiss, Smirnov faces up to six years in prison, one year of supervised release, and must pay $675,502 in restitution.

He has also pleaded guilty to evading taxes on $2.15 million in unreported income between 2020 and 2022, further undermining his credibility.

The case has become a political football, with Congressional Democrats using Smirnov’s indictment to discredit Republicans investigating the Biden family’s business dealings.

According to a source, prosecutors noted that Smirnov “expressed bias” against Joe during his presidential candidacy. This bias may have motivated his false claims, but it does not negate the need for continued investigation into the Biden family’s business dealings.

Moreover, the same special counsel prosecuting Smirnov, David Weiss, also brought charges against Hunter-

Controversially, Hunter was pardoned by his father before sentencing on gun and tax charges. This move has further fueled suspicions of preferential treatment and abuse of power within the Biden administration.

While Smirnov’s false assertions have been exposed, the broader questions surrounding the Biden family’s international business dealings remain unanswered.
