Fetterman: ‘This Is a Family in Crisis’

(StraightShooterNews.com) – Buckling his own party for politicizing a critical personal issue, Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) criticized liberals’ “cruelty” toward Republican Lauren Boebert (R-CO) and her family following her son’s arrest.

Following mocking comments that leftists have made on social media about the 18-year-old Republican congresswoman’s son on various charges which included theft, Fetterman posted on X demanding “restraint” from Democrats and stressed the impact on children in a family crisis.

Known for addressing bullying due to his post-stroke disability, the senator appealed for decency, stating, “This is a family in crisis, and the recreational cruelty I see on social media needs to be out of bounds. I know the impact this has on children.”

“I’m calling for restraint because cruelty has substantial collateral damage. We can’t ever forget that they didn’t sign up for this,” Fetterman concluded.

Tyler Boebert faces multiple charges, which involve “four felony counts of criminal possession of ID documents, first-degree criminal trespass of an automobile with intent to commit a crime,” and “three counts of theft of under $300.”

A police report disclosed six victims, including a three-year-old and a 64-year-old.

In response to her son’s arrest, Boebert expressed, “I love my son Tyler, who has been through some very difficult, public challenges for a young man and the subject of attention that he didn’t ask for. It breaks my heart to see my child struggling and, in this situation, especially when he has been provided multiple opportunities to get his life on track.”

She continued her statement by saying that as an adult and father, her son will have to take responsibility for his conduct and should be absolutely responsible for his unthoughtful choices just like any other American.

Last year, when Tyler was 17, Boebert shared her son was expecting his first child.
