Fetterman Slams AOC – Video

(StraightShooterNews.com) – Even leftists are fed up with each other, as Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) criticized Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) in an interview after she accused him of bullying.

This exchange followed Fetterman’s comments on a conflict in the House Oversight Committee involving Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Jasmine Crockett (D-TX).

The altercation, which also drew in Ocasio-Cortez, began when Crockett questioned Greene’s intelligence and caused both to exchange mutual personal insults.

Fetterman went on social media to compare the behavior in the U.S. House to a daytime TV show. “In the past, I’ve described the U.S. House as The Jerry Springer Show,” he posted on X. “Today, I’m apologizing to The Jerry Springer Show.”

Ocasio-Cortez took issue with his comments and criticized Fetterman’s approach by calling him “confused,” possibly referencing his health struggles following a severe stroke in 2022 that affected his speech and hearing.

“I understand you likely would not have stood up for your colleague and seem to be confused about racism and misogyny being a ‘both sides’ issue,” AOC replied. “But I stand up to bullies, instead of becoming one.”

“And to the women of Pennsylvania: I’d stand up for you too,” she added. “Enjoy your Friday.”

Fetterman addressed her criticism on CNN’s “State of the Union” with Jake Tapper and dismissed the claim that he was part of the problem.

“Oh, well, of course, that‘s absurd,” Fetterman responded. He clarified his intentions, saying, “I was just simply responding to the kind of chaos and everything that Rep. Greene started as well.”

He further commented on the decorum of the House committee, questioning the example it set for young viewers.

“And if everyone on the committee was proud of what they‘ve produced, they are entitled to their opinion or if they feel that this is the kind of a video that you want to send to a classroom of 8th grade civics kind of students across America,” he said. “That’s their choice.”
