(StraightShooterNews.com) – In a shocking turn of events, popular TikToker Bobby Graves—known online as “Caleb”—seemingly predicted his own passing before tragically dying right after finishing Disneyland’s Halloween Half Marathon.
He collapsed from a cardiac arrest as he crossed the finish line around 7 a.m. at the California park, as confirmed by Anaheim police.
Graves, who was 35, immediately received emergency treatment at the scene. Despite the swift response, Anaheim police Sgt. Matt Sutter confirmed the influencer was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Sutter mentioned that Graves had no pre-existing medical conditions that were known before this incident. The coroner’s office is now looking into why he suffered a cardiac arrest.
Graves had completed the 13.1-mile race impressively quickly, finishing in under two hours.
“The race started at 5 a.m., I don’t know what start wave he was in, but he crossed the finish line at approximately 7 a.m.,” said Sutter, highlighting Graves’ strong performance.
The race took place during an intense heat wave in Southern California, with temperatures in Anaheim soaring to 107 degrees by midday.
Just the day before the race, Graves himself expressed concerns since he “passed out” from heat exhaustion after a brief walk with his dog.
In a video titled, “This heat is no joke,” Graves shared, “Disneyland Halloween half marathon is tomorrow, and I’m marginally worried now.”
“I grew up in Texas, I know what heat is like but the UV exposure with the heat in Southern California is its own kind of beast,” he added.
Heat exhaustion is known to increase body temperature to between 101 and 104 degrees F, causing symptoms like dizziness and nausea.
Without proper treatment, it can escalate to heatstroke, a serious condition where body temperature spikes to 106 F or higher, potentially within minutes.
Following Graves’ sudden death, heartfelt messages poured in from his friends and family.
Friend Zane Drury announced on Facebook: “It is with great sadness that on behalf of the Graves family that mine should announce the passing of Caleb Graves this morning.”
Disneyland Resort also expressed its condolences through spokesperson Jessica Good, stating it is “deeply saddened by this tragic loss, and our hearts are with Caleb’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
Graves was no stranger to Disney races. He completed the full marathon and half-marathon at Disney World both in 2023 and 2024.
