Democrats Mad at Biden Over THIS Word?!

( – In undeniable proof that leftists support admitting aliens into America and hate when they are the topic of discussion, Joe Biden faced backlash from fellow Democrats during his State of the Union address for referring to undocumented immigrants as “illegals.”

The controversy came to be following an interaction with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who pressed Biden on the tragic death of Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student reportedly killed by an undocumented immigrant from Venezuela.

Despite Biden’s mistake in pronouncing Riley’s name as “Lincoln Riley,” his acknowledgment of the victim led to broader criticism.

“An innocent young woman who was killed by an illegal. That’s right. But how many of the thousands of people being killed by illegals? To her parents, I say, my heart goes out to you having lost children myself. I understand,” Biden remarked.

Despite Biden’s subsequent call for amnesty for millions of undocumented individuals and an appeal for bipartisan support to secure the border, this statement did not sit well with several Democrats.

Rep. Chuy Garcia (D-IL) expressed his disappointment as an immigrant himself and highlighted the inappropriateness of Biden’s terminology. Meanwhile, Rep. Delia Ramirez (D-IL) and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) echoed his sentiments by emphasizing the humanity of immigrants and rejecting the label “illegal.”

In turn, Congressional Progressive Caucus Chair Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) expressed her discontent specifically over Biden’s decision to engage with Greene and his choice of words.

Additionally, Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) criticized Biden for echoing Republican concerns and underscored the need for Democrats to avoid adopting the same language.

The Biden administration had previously attempted to eliminate terms like “illegal alien” and “illegal immigrant” from governmental discourse and advocated for more inclusive descriptors such as “newcomers” or “undocumented.”

As explained by the Department of Homeland Security, this shift aimed at fostering more inclusive language across official communications and stakeholder interactions.

Amid these criticisms, Republicans have pointed fingers at Biden for his border management, with House Republicans signaling their concern through “Stop The Biden Border Crisis” pins during the State of the Union.
