In a danger alert, the Food Drug Administration (FDA) issued a high-risk warning regarding a salad dressing from a popular grocery chain due to dangerous allergen risks.

Trader Joe’s customers face a serious health risk due to a major labeling blunder that could prove deadly for those with allergies.

The popular grocery chain’s Hot Honey Mustard Dressing has been recalled after potentially life-threatening allergens, including peanuts, soy, sesame, and wheat were left off the label.

This becomes the third Trader Joe’s product recalled since February, raising concerns about quality control.

The FDA has classified the salad dressing pull as a Class I risk—their highest-level warning.

This classification is reserved for products that pose serious or potentially life-threatening health risks to consumers.

The recall affects 12-ounce bottles with a use-by date of May 27, 2025, and product code 80152, which were distributed across 18 states and Washington, D.C.

For the nearly 10 million Americans allergic to substances like peanuts, soy, sesame, and wheat, consuming these undisclosed ingredients could trigger anaphylaxis – a severe, potentially fatal allergic reaction.

Symptoms can include breathing difficulties, rapid heartbeat, and a dangerous drop in blood pressure that requires immediate emergency treatment.

The dressing manufacturer, Fresh Creative Foods, initiated the pull after discovering a major labeling error.

Despite marketing itself as health-conscious and quality-focused, this marks Trader Joe’s third product recall since February, following issues with their Gerolsteiner Sparkling Natural Mineral Water and Acai Bowl frozen meals.

The dressing was distributed to stores in 17 states, including Washington, DC.

While no illnesses have been reported yet in connection with the recall, the potential for serious health consequences remains high.

Customers who purchased the affected dressing should either return it to any Trader Joe’s location for a full refund or dispose of it immediately.

In response to growing public criticism about product safety, Trader Joe’s issued carefully crafted statements emphasizing their commitment to consumer protection.

However, these words ring hollow when the company continues to face recall after recall of products that could seriously harm customers.

Consumers with questions about the recall can contact Fresh Creative Foods on regular business days.

Although the company underscored that no customer complaints have been reported regarding this specific issue, the potential consequences of this labeling oversight for vulnerable Americans with severe allergies cannot be overstated.
