Another food safety crisis has struck American grocery stores as Price Chopper and Market 32 rush to recall potentially dangerous chicken wraps from shelves over listeria concerns.
See the tweet below.
The ready-to-eat chicken wraps could be contaminated with deadly listeria bacteria, putting countless Americans at risk.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has issued a public health alert for several varieties of chicken wraps produced by Rachael’s Food Corporation.
The products were distributed to Price Chopper and Market 32 stores across New York, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
Multiple varieties are affected, including Chicken Caesar, Buffalo Chicken, and Chicken Bacon Ranch wraps with specific UPC codes and sell-by dates that have now passed.
While officials assert the products are no longer available for purchase, many Americans may still have these potentially contaminated items in their refrigerators.
The contamination was only discovered after a state public health partner reported a positive test result for Listeria monocytogenes in one of the products.
This reactive approach to food safety highlights ongoing concerns about adequate inspection protocols within America’s food supply chain.
Although no illnesses have been reported yet, the danger remains real for those who may have purchased and stored these items for later consumption.
Moreover, listeria infection poses particularly serious threats to vulnerable populations, including the elderly, pregnant women, newborns, and those with weakened immune systems.
The USDA warns that symptoms can include fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, and gastrointestinal issues.
For pregnant women, the consequences can be devastating, potentially leading to miscarriages, stillbirths, premature delivery, or life-threatening infections in newborns.

Older Americans and those with compromised immune systems face an increased risk of serious or even fatal infections, highlighting why food safety should be a national priority rather than an afterthought.
Market 32 and Price Chopper have activated their recall notification program to alert customers who purchased the potentially contaminated products.
“Market 32 and Price Chopper are issuing a voluntary manufacturer recall on Rachael’s Food Corporation-produced items impacting select Market 32 by Price Chopper brand pre-made Chicken Wraps located in the deli/food fare section,” both companies stated.
The affected UPC codes are 4173500762 for Chicken Caesar wraps, 4173500763 for Buffalo Chicken wraps, and 4173505513 for Chicken Bacon Ranch wraps.
Customers who purchased these items should immediately check their refrigerators and either discard them or return them to their local store for a full refund.
This recall comes amid growing concerns about food safety in America, with numerous high-profile contamination incidents making headlines in recent years.
Many conservatives have long advocated for strengthening domestic food production and reducing dependence on imports with potentially lax safety standards.
As food prices continue to soar under the current administration’s economic policies, families face the double burden of paying more for food while simultaneously wondering if what they are eating is safe.
Americans deserve better protection from foodborne illness, with prevention prioritized over after-the-fact recalls that put citizens at unnecessary risk.
