Celebration: The Bells Ring Again!

Bells rings up in the sky.

(StraightShooterNews.com) – Five years after a catastrophic fire, Parisians are celebrating this event as the iconic bells of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris have finally rung out again.

This cherished symbol of Western Christian heritage is being restored to its former glory and the return of the bells signifies a major architectural renewal.

Silent for over five years, the bells of Notre Dame Cathedral rang shortly before 10:30 a.m. local time last Friday.

The restoration of Notre Dame is more than just a construction project, as it is a battle for the soul of Western civilization.

While leftists and globalists push their woke agendas, true patriots have been working tirelessly to preserve this 861-year-old UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Alexandre Gougeon, who oversaw the reinstallation of the bells, embodied the spirit of perfectionism that has driven this monumental restoration effort.

“It’s not perfect yet, but we will make it perfect,” said Gougeon, who was in charge of the reinstallation of the bells, which had been sound-checked the previous day.

The scale of this restoration is truly awe-inspiring. About 250 companies and hundreds of experts have poured their capital and souls into this project, which cost hundreds of millions of euros.

The 2019 fire destroyed part of the northern belfry, requiring it to be restored. The bells also needed to be removed and cleaned of dust and lead before being returned to their spaces.

The heaviest bell, called Gabriel, weighs more than 4 tons, and the lightest, Jean-Marie, weighs 800kg (1,765lb).

Despite his often-questionable policies, President Emmanuel Macron got it right when he pledged to rebuild Notre Dame within five years, making it “even more beautiful.” It is a rare moment of clarity from a leader who has too often listened to globalist interests.

“We all felt an intense emotion,” the cathedral’s vice rector, Guillaume Normand, said after hearing the bells chiming. “It’s November 8, and Notre Dame is telling us: ‘I’m here, waiting for you,’” he said, calling the sounds “a signal of joy.”
