BREAKING NEWS: MAGA advocates are angered with this witch-hunt as Democrats have launched a desperate legal attack against President Donald Trump’s executive order designed to secure America’s elections.
The Democrat National Committee (DNC) and their allies filed a lawsuit attempting to block common-sense reforms requiring proof of citizenship to vote and preventing late mail-in ballots from being counted.
This battle spotlights the stark difference between conservatives fighting for election integrity and leftists who seem determined to block every safeguard against potential fraud.
President Trump’s executive order, signed last month, is a significant step toward ensuring that only American citizens determine American elections.
The order requires states to verify citizenship before allowing voter registration, prevents counting mail-in ballots that arrive after Election Day, and authorizes the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to access and review voter rolls.
This comprehensive approach addresses conservatives’ longstanding concerns about election security while Democrats continue fighting to block verification measures.
The lawsuit, filed by Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries, and various Democrat campaign committees, makes the shocking claim that requiring proof of citizenship somehow “disenfranchises” voters.
Yet, it is notable that confirming voters’ citizenship before allowing them to participate in elections is reasonable and necessary.
Democrats’ extreme resistance to basic identity verification continues to raise questions about their motives, especially as border security remains compromised and millions of illegal aliens have entered the country during the Biden administration.
Moreover, the DOJ has firmly backed President Trump’s authority to implement these election security measures.
“The Department of Justice has vigorously defended President Trump’s executive actions, including the order to Preserve and Protect the Integrity of American Elections, and will continue to do so,” a Justice Department spokesperson stated.
White House principal deputy press secretary Harrison Fields also condemned the lawsuit:
“The Democrats continue to show their disdain for the Constitution and it continues to show in their insane objections to the President’s commonsense executive actions to require proof of U.S. citizenship in an effort to protect the integrity of American elections.”
Democrats claim in their lawsuit that the Constitution gives states and Congress control over federal elections, not the president.
However, this conveniently ignores that President Trump’s executive order simply creates standards for states receiving federal election funding – similar to how Democrats have previously tied federal highway funds to state compliance with various mandates.
The lawsuit also alleges that requiring voters to prove their citizenship is somehow a burden, particularly for military service members, women, and lower-income voters.
