BREAKING: Another Secret Service Failure Exposed

BREAKING NEWS

(StraightShooterNews.com) – Following the Secret Service’s failure to prevent an assassination attempt on GOP nominee Donald Trump, a bombshell report revealed another of the agency’s fiascos.

On the morning of January 6, 2021, teams of Secret Service dogs failed to notice a pipe bomb placed near the Democrat National Committee’s headquarters in Washington, D.C.

This was just before Kamala Harris was set to visit, as a recent report by a watchdog stated.

Late in the evening of January 5, an unknown individual hid the pipe bomb in a bush 20 feet from the entry Harris would later use.

The spot was overlooked during the Secret Service’s security checks, according to a report from the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of the Inspector General (OIG) released last week.

The report confirmed the bomb was operational and could have caused injuries or deaths if it had exploded.

From 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. on January 6, two canine units inspected the DNC building in anticipation of Harris’ arrival.

The team managing the visit did not direct a sweep of the building’s exterior. However, one team did check the outside areas, including the entrance ramp to the garage, but they missed the bush concealing the bomb.

The OIG’s report indicated that, given its closeness to the garage, the location of the bomb should have been included in the initial sweep.

Harris’ convoy drove past the bomb at 11:25 a.m., entering through the garage ramp.

The report suggests the bomb went undetected due to logistical and coordination issues related to Harris’ visit.

Later, the Secret Service did not record this incident under the “unusual protective event” category, which would have required a detailed report and a follow-up memo.

One year later, the Secret Service revised its procedures for detecting explosives to prevent such a significant oversight from happening again.

The DHS inspector general also noted that creating the report was delayed by seven months because the Secret Service initially resisted handing over necessary documents.

Additionally, the Secret Service erased thousands of text messages during a pre-planned software update on their phones after the Capitol riot.

The agency justified the move by claiming that the update was part of a schedule already in place.
