Bill Clinton SHOCKER – 2016 Loss!

BILL CLINTON

(StraightShooterNews.com) – Confirming he has been unable to move on from the past, Bill Clinton brought up his wife’s tough defeat in 2016 during his speech at the Democrat National Convention.

The former president took the opportunity to encourage everyone at the venue to learn from those errors to prevent another loss at the hands of GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump.

“We’ve seen more than one election slip away from us when we thought it couldn’t happen, when people got distracted by phony issues,” Clinton said. “This is a brutal, tough business.”

“You should never underestimate your adversary, and these people are really good at distracting us, at triggering doubt, at triggering buyers remorse,” he added.

He received a warm reception, signaling his return to the party’s good graces after the MeToo movement dredged up memories of his past.

His presence was a significant shift from the backlash he faced in 2018 when he was criticized within his own party for his past actions, including defending his sexual affair with Monica Lewinsky.

Adding to his controversies, his connections to Jeffrey Epstein, who faced severe allegations, also resurfaced.

Despite these shadows from his past, Clinton focused his speech on contrasting Trump with Kamala Harris.

He praised the Democrat nominee as a candidate who prioritizes the public’s interest over personal gain.

“Kamala Harris will work to solve our problems, seize our opportunities, ease our fears, and make sure every single American, however they vote, has a chance to chase their dreams,” Clinton claimed.

Clinton’s speech aimed to boost the excitement Harris has brought to the party since she replaced Joe Biden as the top candidate.

The Clintons had quickly thrown their support behind Harris back in July and promised to help her campaign.

Clinton also praised his wife, Hillary, for her “great speech” at the convention, which caused the audience to chant “lock him up” in a reference to Trump’s his recent legal troubles.
