(StraightShooterNews.com) – American parents are on high alert as a new report revealed that a child in California is the first reported case of a U.S. minor diagnosed with bird flu.
See the tweet below.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirmed that the infected child resides in Alameda County and attends daycare, sending shivers down the spine of every American parent.
While health officials asserted the child had mild symptoms and is recovering, the severity of this threat is uncertain.
The CDC reported that bird flu has been spreading among wild birds, poultry, and other animals in the U.S., with California being the epicenter of the outbreak.
The liberal media may try to downplay this incident, but the facts are that the U.S. has reported 55 bird flu cases this year, with a staggering 29 in California alone.
“Bird flu has been detected in wild and domestic birds in California since 2022 and in dairy cattle there since August,” the agency said.
The CDC’s failure to contain this outbreak is a testament to the ineffectiveness of big government bureaucracies.
Despite their assurances, the virus has now infected a child, potentially exposing an entire daycare to this dangerous illness.
While health officials claimed there is no evidence of human-to-human spread, the same experts who downplayed the severity of COVID-19 are now saying not to worry about bird flu.
State’s public health director Dr Tomás Aragón said:
“It’s natural for people to be concerned, and we want to reinforce for parents, caregivers and families that based on the information and data we have, we don’t think the child was infectious – and no human-to-human spread of bird flu has been documented in any country for more than 15 years.”
The fact that this child was infected through “possible exposure to wild birds” raises serious questions about environmental policies in California.
While the CDC’s bird flu risk assessment for the general public is low, people with exposure to infected or potentially infected animals or environments contaminated by infected animals are at higher risk of infection.
Symptoms of bird flu in humans include eye redness or discharge, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, diarrhea, vomiting, body aches, headaches, fatigue, trouble breathing, and fever.
